YAMAGENが考える什器とは、魅力的な商品を際立たせ、「夢見る空間」をつくるためのものだ。本展示は、その什器によって夢のような没入体験をつくるインスタレーションである。森林浴のように空間をゆっくり彷徨い、忙殺される日常からひとときのくつろぎを得てほしいという思いで制作した。なお、AR技術により普段は見えない什器の姿が具現化される仕掛けも用意している。

空間は新什器「CAGULA」を軸に構成した。CAGULAは「森林と未来の資源を守る」を掲げて開発されたレンタル什器で、素材に国内の間伐材を用い環境課題と向き合っている。CAGULAを中心に配した各種什器が作る木漏れ日が差し込み、幻想的な森林を想わせる夢見心地の場をつくり上げている。

YAMAGEN regards fixtures as tools to make attractive products stand out and to create “dreamlike spaces.” This exhibition is an installation that produces a dreamlike immersive experience through its fixtures. Designed to be wandered like a forest bath, the space offers a moment of respite from the hectic pace of daily life. We also built an AR mechanism that materializes fixtures that are normally invisible.

The space is organized around the new fixture “CAGULA.” Developed under the theme “protect forests and future resources,” CAGULA is a rental fixture that addresses environmental issues by using domestically sourced thinned timber. Centered on CAGULA, a variety of fixtures cast dappled sunlight across the space, creating a dreamy environment that evokes a surreal forest.
