本展示は、室町時代に描かれたとされる菅原道真の肖像画の掛け軸から始まる。歌の才をみせた道幼少期、そして太宰府への左遷から時代を経て天神様として祀られるようになるまでのストーリーを和歌や漢詩を通して各部屋で表現した。

This exhibition begins with a hanging scroll of Sugawara no Michizane's portrait, which is said to have been drawn during the Muromachi period. Michi, who showed a talent for singing, expressed the story from his childhood to Dazaifu to being enshrined as Tenjin-sama through the ages in each room through waka poetry and Chinese poetry.

薄明かりの中、感覚が研ぎ澄まされ梅の香りを普段より強く感じることができる。また、梅の影を場内に広く映し出すことにより空間全体がうめであふれているような演出とした。

In the dim light, your senses are sharpened and you can feel the scent of plums stronger than usual. In addition, by projecting the shadow of the plum blossoms widely in the hall, the entire space is filled with ume.
